How the math works
Wall area = room perimeter × wall height, minus doors and windows. Paint = area × coats ÷ coverage, rounded up to the nearest quart. Flooring = length × width for each room plus your waste allowance; boxes = that total ÷ the square feet per box, rounded up. Adhesive = floor area ÷ the coverage on the label. Trim = perimeter minus about 3 ft per door, plus 10% for cuts.
