Open Bid Board
Open Bid Board: beat our bid
Real local jobs, posted anonymously with the customer's permission. Contractors: if you can do the same scope for less, bid below. If you win, we connect you with the customer.

Customer privacy
We only post a job when the customer has checked “OK to post my job anonymously for open bidding” on our estimate form, or has told us so in writing. We never post the customer's name, street address, phone or email. Photos are checked for house numbers, faces and mail before posting. A customer can ask us to take their job down at any time.
Bid board terms (draft)
Draft. Items marked TODO must be confirmed by the owner before launch.
- Who may bid: contractors who carry liability insurance and hold any license their trade and state require. In Minnesota, check DLI licensing rules for residential work. TODO (owner to confirm): whether proof of insurance or license is required before a customer is connected
- Same scope: bids must cover the scope as posted (surfaces, prep, products, coats, flooring method). TODO (owner to confirm): how 'equivalent product' is judged
- How long jobs stay open: until the closing date shown, or TODO (owner to confirm): default number of days.
- If your bid is lower: we tell the customer and, with their OK, share your contact details with them. The customer decides who to hire. TODO (owner to confirm): whether St. Croix Paint & Floor may first match the lower bid under its Best Price Guarantee
- No fees: bidding is free; no referral fee is charged either way. TODO (owner to confirm): confirm
- We may remove bids that are incomplete, duplicated, abusive or for a different scope. TODO (owner to confirm): confirm
- Bids are estimates; the final contract is between the customer and the contractor they hire.
