Flooring Installation
New flooring is a big investment, and almost every flooring failure traces back to the same few causes: an uneven or flexing subfloor, moisture, skipping acclimation, or missing expansion gaps. We start with those, then install the floor you picked.

Questions about flooring installation
Do I need to move my furniture?
Rooms need to be empty for flooring. Ask during your estimate how furniture moving will be handled.
How much extra flooring should I buy?
Plan on waste: roughly 5–10% for simple straight layouts and more for diagonal or herringbone patterns or rooms with lots of angles. Our Project Planner does the math.
Should I paint before or after new floors?
Usually paint first, then install flooring, then do the final trim coat. Our guide on project order explains why.
