Interior Painting
A good interior paint job is mostly the work you never see: moving and covering furniture, protecting floors, filling and sanding, spot-priming repairs, and cutting clean lines. That's what makes a room look sharp for years instead of months.

- Prep: furniture moved and covered, floors protected, surfaces cleaned, repairs filled and sanded.
- Prime where it matters: patches, stains, glossy surfaces and big color changes.

Questions about interior painting
How long does interior paint need before I can hang pictures?
Most latex paints are dry to the touch in an hour or two but keep curing for days to weeks. Waiting a few days before hanging heavy items or scrubbing is a safe rule; the paint label gives the exact cure time.
Do you paint ceilings too?
Yes. Ceilings are usually painted first so drips and roller spatter never land on finished walls.
What sheen should I use?
Matte or eggshell for most walls, satin for kids' rooms and busy hallways, and satin or semi-gloss for trim, doors, kitchens and baths. See our sheen guide for the details.
