Cabinet Painting
Painted cabinets can make a dated kitchen look new for a fraction of the cost of replacing them, but only if the finish bonds and cures properly. Cabinets get grease, hands and water every day, so the prep and the products are different from wall painting.

Questions about cabinet painting
How long until I can use my kitchen?
You can usually use the kitchen during the job with some planning. Cabinet enamels feel dry quickly but keep hardening for days or weeks, so be gentle at first; the product label gives the full cure time.
Will the wood grain show through?
On open-grain wood like oak, the grain texture usually shows through paint unless it's filled first. Ask about grain filling during your estimate.
Can laminate or thermofoil cabinets be painted?
Some laminate can, with the right bonding primer. Peeling thermofoil usually can't be painted successfully. We'll tell you honestly at the estimate.
